Leveling Up My Design Game: Adobe Photoshop CC Advanced Certification

Matthew Graham's Advanced Photoshop Certification from Bring Your Own Laptop

Hey design aficionados!

I'm thrilled to share that I've just earned my Adobe Photoshop CC Advanced Certification through Bring Your Own Laptop. 🎉 This intensive course took a deep dive into the world of Photoshop, covering everything from advanced masking and color correction techniques to creating cinemagraphs and mockups. It was a whirlwind of learning, but I'm walking away with a treasure trove of new skills and a renewed passion for all things design.

Why Photoshop Matters

As graphic designers, we know that Photoshop isn't just a tool – it's the cornerstone of our creative process. Whether you're crafting stunning visuals for print or digital media, Photoshop is the ultimate playground for bringing your ideas to life. Mastering this software opens up a world of possibilities, and this advanced training has taken my abilities to the next level.

Course Highlights

The curriculum was packed with valuable insights and hands-on projects. Here are a few of the highlights that I found particularly exciting:

  • Selection and Masking Mastery: We dove deep into the art of precision selection and masking, ensuring that every element in my designs is flawlessly isolated and manipulated.
  • Color Grading Like a Pro: Learning advanced color grading techniques has given me the power to create images with truly captivating atmospheres and moods.
  • Retouching and Restoration: Now I can breathe new life into old or damaged photos, restoring them to their former glory or even enhancing them beyond their original state.
  • Cinemagraphs and Beyond: Creating cinemagraphs – those mesmerizing images with subtle movement – was a fun challenge that pushed my creativity.
  • Staying on Trend: The course also covered the latest visual styles and design trends, keeping my work fresh and relevant in the ever-evolving world of graphic design.

What's Next?

Armed with these new skills, I'm eager to apply them to my current and future design projects. I'm particularly excited to experiment with cinemagraphs and incorporate more advanced color grading into my work. And who knows, maybe I'll even start offering photo restoration services to clients!

To my fellow designers:

If you're looking to elevate your design game, I highly recommend investing in professional development. Earning this certification has not only expanded my technical skills but has also ignited a fresh wave of inspiration. It's a reminder that there's always more to learn and discover in the world of graphic design.
